Eucatex reports recurring net income growth of 285.5% in the third quarter

São Paulo, November 8, 2017 – Eucatex (B3: EUCA3 and EUCA4), one of the largest manufacturers of panels in Brazil, with operations also in the paint and varnish, laminated flooring, partitions and doors segments, posted recurring net income of R$33.8 million in the third quarter of 2017, growing 285.5%, and recurring EBITDA of R$55.5 million in the period, growing 16.5%, both in relation to the same period of 2016.

Another highlight in the period was the increased sales volume by the Wood Segment, considering both domestic and export markets, which grew 12.0% in the quarter and 8.5% in the nine-month period, outpacing the market expansion of 11.3% and 5.3%, respectively, according to the Brazilian Tree Industry (IBÁ). “The Company believes and is confident in the new business environment, and is continuing the actions aimed at increasing domestic and export sales, while reducing expenses and streamlining processes,” said José Antônio Goulart de Carvalho, Executive Vice-President and Investor Relations Officer.
